Suprisingly good, actually. I wanted to watch it from listening to the screener at work, and it was really good. It has the same style as Castaway, with the only sounds throughout the movie is the people talking and the insects from the jungle. Christian Bale was really cool, as always, and Steve Zahn (from That thing you do and Sahara) was great too, but he was really serious. This was a very good movie. I'd likes to watch it again. . . .
It's about a pilot (Christian Bale) who gets shot down over Laos during the beginning years of the Vietnam War, and is taken to a prison camp. There, he and his fellow prisoners plan to escape from their captors rather than wait to be released.
I also watched Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. It was actually pretty good. I do wish there was more time on Jack-Frost-as-Santa, than Santa having family problems, but it was still good. Martin Short was awesome as usual (he's been in The Three Amigos, Pure Luck, and Innerspace), in fact, he looked like the devil turned blue. His hair was all spikey, and not the boy's hair kind of spikey, but really spikey. Other than that, the first is still the best, the second one was better than the third, but the third was still good.
Well, that's all I have to say. . .HOORAY FOR THANKSGIVING!!!
